Puget Sound Sunset
These tiles just went home over the weekend to some close neighbors. The background view of Mt. Rainier is from a picture they sent me from their cabin in the South Sound. The three and tidelands were from pictures I had taken to add some interest to the foreground. This will go in their new kitchen backsplash.
Whidbey Island Map
I posted a picture of these tiles back in November of 2017 right after they were finished and laying on the table in my studio. They finally got installed, the room finally got finished, and I finally got up to the island to shoot them. This is a fanciful map of Whidbey Island, with local attractions, some of which you’d have to live there to get.
Stylized Fish
This little mural just went out to a tile store on Cape Cod, MA.
Olympic Mountains View
This tile piece went home just in time for Christmas. It will be installed in the back of a shower. There will be a shelf just below the bottom of the mural, and the top of the mural will just meet the angled ceiling where it fits under a gable.
Jellyfish
This picture was just sent to me by the clients, one of whom is a researcher working on jellyfish, so there are several kinds in here. I particularly like how they have softened the corners with the mosaics.
Annual Studio Sale
It’s that time of year again. I’m having my annual studio sale the first weekend in December, the 1st and 2nd from 10 am to 5 pm. Rupa Palasamudram’s pottery and Stephanie Benson’s jewelry will be here again as well.

Distinguished Alumni Award
I was honored to receive a 2018 University of Montana Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award this year. We went to Missoula last weekend to get that, and here are some pictures.
Irises and Maple
These tiles just went home today. They will go on the end wall of a shower. There’s a window in the wall, and the irises will be below the window, with the maple leaves above and to the side of it. The rest of the wall will be filled in with the same white matte tile.
Heron in Slough Installed
The tile piece that was in my blog post from July 2 got installed and the clients just sent me a picture of it. This is one of my catalogue images but in the catalogue, it's on 4 1/4" tiles, whereas here it's on 6" tiles. And in this case, it has a 1/2" blue border painted on the tiles.
